Authorship

In order to fulfil all of the criteria for authorship, author(s) must have made substantial contributions to all of the following: (1) the conception and design of the study, acquisition, analysis or interpretation of data, (2) writing an article or critically reviewing it for important intellectual content, (3) final approval of the manuscript to be submitted, (4) agree to be responsible for all aspects of the research, ensuring that questions related to the accuracy or integrity of any part of the study are properly investigated and resolved (according to updated ICMJE recommendations).

Copyright and permissions

By submitting a paper to the editor, authors thereby confirm the original form of the articles, which means that the copyright or any other property rights of the third parties are not violated. The author(s) thereby certify that neither part of the suggested research has been published or accepted for publication in other journals.

No part of materials published in The Medical and Ecological Problems may be reproduced without written permission of the publisher.

Responsibility of the authors

According to the ICMJE guidelines, all authors are jointly responsible for the content of their article. The authors are obliged to credit all contributors who participated in the work, including technical staff. Those who have made significant contributions to the research should be listed as co-authors. When submitting a manuscript, the corresponding author affirms that listed co-authors have consented to publication and assumes responsibility for their accurate inclusion. Authors must maintain integrity by submitting only original work, ensuring the authenticity of results, and transparently citing all information sources. Manuscripts must not be under consideration elsewhere, must not have been previously published, and should be exclusively submitted to this journal.

If the authors discover an error or inaccuracy in an already published work, they must immediately notify the editor-in-chief and take measures to correct or refute the manuscript in accordance with scientific norms.

In the event of identifying errors in a published work, authors are required to promptly inform the editor-in-chief and take measures to correct or refute the manuscript in accordance with scientific norms.

Authors must honestly collect and interpret the data in their manuscripts. Submitted manuscripts must not contain scientific dishonesty and/or fraud, including fictitious or falsified data, plagiarism (both from the authors' previous work and external sources), omission of references, false claims of priority, "hidden" multiple publications of the same data, of incorrect authorship. Authors must not infringe copyright.

Authors are responsible for properly acknowledging published work related to their submitted manuscript through proper attribution and citation.

Authors must refrain from personal criticism of other researchers, although criticism of another scientist's work may be justified. The article may not contain defamatory or other materials requiring legal prosecution.

Authors provide accurate and detailed funding information and clear acknowledgment of financial support. Funding information increases the visibility of the authors' work and enhances the transparency of funding.

Authors must carefully check the spelling and format of all author names, affiliations, and funding information. If the authors' article is accepted for publication, it is important that this information is accurate for proper indexing of the article, which may affect subsequent citations and future funding evaluations.

Authors must meet all ICMJE authorship criteria, including approval of the final manuscript, be publicly accountable for the work, and have full confidence in the accuracy and integrity of the work of other co-authors. All authors fill out a disclosure form. Co-authors who meet less than all authorship criteria are not credited as authors, but are acknowledged. Examples of activities that by themselves (without other contributions) do not qualify a participant as an author include receiving funding; general leadership of the research team or general administrative support, writing assistance, technical editing, language editing and proofreading.
